DIRECTIONS TO CATKIN
LODGE BED AND BREAKFAST GUEST HOUSE ACCOMMODATION
By Car
We are on the A345 to the north of Amesbury, just 2 minutes from the A303
and 5 minutes from Stonehenge.
From LONDON/THE EAST: M25, M3 to Junction 8 where exit to the A303. Drive
for 35-40 minutes along the A303 until you reach the large roudabout at
Amesbury, you need to be in the right hand lane and take the third exit
off the roundabout signposted to Marlborough. Catkin Lodge is no more
than 2 minutes from this roundabout on the left hand side of the road.
From SALISBURY/THE SOUTH: Take the A345 towards Amesbury. After some 7
miles at the roundabout with the A303 intersection go straight ahead towards
Marlborough. Catkin Lodge is no more than 2 minutes from this roundabout
on the left hand side of the road.
From DEVON/THE WEST: Stay on the A303, drive past Stonehenge until you
come to the Amesbury roundabout. At the roundabout turn left towards Marlborough.
Catkin Lodge is no more than 2 minutes from this roundabout on the left
hand side of the road.
From the NORTH: Via Marlborough (A345) head towards Amesbury. At Durrington
there is a roundabout, head straight on at the roundabout, after 2 minutes
you will come to some houses on either side of the road. Catkin Lodge
is after approx. 300 metres on the Right hand side.
Via Oxfordrd/Newbury (A34), join the A303 and head westwards (direction
Exeter). Stay on the A303 until you reach the large roudabout at Amesbury,
you need to be in the right hand lane and take the third exit off the
roundabout signposted to Marlborough. Catkin Lodge is no more than 2 minutes
from this roundabout on the left hand side of the road.
Via Chippenham and Devizes, take the A360 to Shrewton. Coming out of the
village, keep going straight until you pass Stonehenge on your left. At
the junction with the A303 turn left on to the A303 and keep going until
you come to the Amesbury roundabout. At the roundabout turn left towards
Marlborough. Catkin Lodge is no more than 2 minutes from this roundabout
on the left hand side of the road.
By Train
From London there is a very regular train service. The
trains go from Waterloo station in London to Salisbury, which is about
8 miles from Catkin Lodge. Link
to First Great Western Trains. trains run at least every hour during
the day.
By Bus and Coach
An Express Coach service runs from Victoria Coach Station
in London to Amesbury (half a mile from catkin lodge). This service is
limited to about 1 or 2 coaches per day I think. Link

Buses from Salisbury to Amesbury
From the Train
station, there is a bus (Number 3) which goes to Amesbury bus station
on its way to stonehenge.
From Salisbury bus station
there are several options: buses number 5 and 6 ( to Swindon and Marlborough)
will stop near Catkin Lodge after first having stopped at Amesbury bus
station. Other buses from Salisbury bus station terminate at Amesbury
bus station, from where it is a short taxi ride to Catkin lodge. Link
